If you have somehow found our blog and you cannot understand Finnish, you might have a problem. My name is Eetu and I have girlfriend, Nina. Together we have a blog. Nina likes exercising like gym and running which makes me feel bad about myself. I like cycling, but I like bikes even more than riding them. I used to haven an old Saab and now the bicycles fill up the tinkering void in my life.

I have to travel a lot because of my work, Nina stays home and according to her own words ’eats soup’. I gain weight and she stays the same. I like to think it is the weight of all the new expriences that I gain abroad, but that is quite wishfull thinking. Nina will soon be an optician (or an optometrist). My studies in English filology are proceeding very slowly. I have a profession though, I work as health and safety manager for dredging projects.

We live together in northern Finland in small’ish city called Oulu:

Oulu is the capital of northern Finland. We have nice big university and plenty of other possibilities for studying. It is a city by the sea even though you will hardly notice it in everyday Oulu. I think it’s because so many people move to Oulu from inlands and have no idea of what sea is. The combination of students, bars and waterways is problematic at times but usually anyone missing will turn up by the time ice has melt.
